Low Carb Cream Cheese | Crepe Recipe

Low Carb Cream Cheese | Crepe Recipe

This is a short and sweet recipe for cream cheese crepes.
These measurements will make 1 crepe. So double, triple, and quadruple as needed.

I have used this with an 8oz. block of cream cheese to make 4 good sized crepes.

Finding healthy recipes that don't taste like cardboard can be really difficult. Especially when it's a breakfast recipe. This one here is delicious and can be filled with any kind of fruit or fruit spreads you wish.

Ingredients for 1 crepe

  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 2 egg whites (half a cup) (I buy egg whites by the carton so I don’t waste my yolks)
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla
  • Dash of cinnamon and nutmeg (optional)
~All the ingredients above add up to 3g of carbs~

Make it

  1. Soften the cream cheese
  2. Using a whisk, processor, or magic bullet (this works great) blend ingredients for 30 seconds.
  3. Preheat your non-stick pan on medium heat
  4. When heated, add a small amount of cooking spray
  5. Pour in your mixture and swirl the pan gently to evenly coat the bottom.
  6. When the edges start to cook you can attempt to flip OR you can cover as soon as you put your mix in the pan to cook evenly through to the top.
  7. Remove and let cool for a minute.
  8. Add your filling and eat!
I added a natural fruit spread at 16 carbs, so this light and fluffy breakfast was a total of 19 carbs.

Healthy Filling Ideas

  • Natural low-carb fruit spreads in any flavor
  • Peanut butter
  • Cinnamon dusting
  • Sliced peaches
  • Softened apple slices
  • Low-fat whipped cream
  • Banana slices
  • If you've used full eggs and removed the whites- scramble the yolks for a little extra protein
Appetizer ideas:
  • Cheese
  • Sauteed mushrooms
  • Asparagus
  • Crabmeat
  • Shrimp
  • Maple Salmon
The possibilities are endless. You can experiment all you want with this 3g carb crepe.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner this recipe will be a sweet addition to your meal.

**DO NOT put this mixture into a waffle maker. Unless you are wanting to clean up an egg white explosion in your kitchen. Trust me, I tried it.***
