I've had the pleasure to work on some pretty awesome projects. These custom orders were SO much fun to make and they turned out beautiful. 


I thought it'd be a good day to look back on some of my favorites:

This one is entirely wood burned and it turned out amazing:

This one was made special for my mother to hang in her greenhouse. It's all hand-painted and I love it SO much that I will be making one for myself:

 The family birthdays order. Completely hand-painted, sent of with about 50 hand cut disks to hang below each month to mark each family birthday:

 The experimental cutting board that turned out AMAZING. It was so amazing that I couldn't let it go. Each little square was cut with a chop saw, adhered to the base, sanded, stained, and sealed with a resin topcoat:

I have made so many things for people I often forget a few. These are just a collection of my favorites and most fun projects I've had the pleasure to complete!

Preserving Deer Tails 101

From the carcass to the slab. * Note - Not to tan, merely preserve. More of a pre-tanning process until you are ready for the next step. Preservation is the first step in getting the furs set, so they do not rot or develop bugs, or even tears. Preserve to avoid the "Hide Beetles": They are scavengers, they are the last to visit and feed on the dried-out remains of dead animals; both adults and larvae will eat feathers, fur, and skin.
