Halloween!

I'm not gonna lie...Halloween is my favorite season. No matter what age you are, you can dress up like whatever you really want to be. Superman fan? Thrown on a cape! Smurf fan? Paint yourself blue! The options are endless and the craziness is supported by all.

I've been diving into the Halloween pool the past few days, working up a couple masks and some other goodies. I am very happy with how these turned out and I can't wait to list them in my shop!

This first one is by far my favorite. I mixed horror and subtle steampunk to create this awesome and somewhat creepy looking mask in black and gold. It looks SO cool if you black out around your eyes:

I went with snow queen for the second mask. This one was inspired by a Pinterest post and I had to try it out. At first it was far too plain even with the gem stones, so I broke out my glitter and shimmered up this beautiful piece to give it more depth. The picture doesn't do it justice. It is textured like layered icicles and man is it ever shiny!

Both masks were made with layer upon layer of hot glue that I squeezed onto an existing mask that I'd bought for sh*its and giggles which ended up getting damaged. Since I have a bad habit of never throwing anything away...it worked out perfect for these projects!

They are lightweight, durable and comfortable to wear on the face. The top mask is secured with a black elastic band and the Ice Queen mask will have a masquerade "stick" to be held up to the face.

A few other creepy pieces I've been working on are paintings rather than costumes and I will put them up as soon as they are dry!

What are you going to be for Halloween?
