Rockers, rockers, everywhere!

Ever since I finished up my big blue rocking chair...the kids have been begging for their own. I finished up one of them last week and plan to get one more done and paint them both by the weekend. Tall order I know, but these fellas don't take too long to put together and they are so damn cute!

Now if only we had a finished patio to line them all up on. My husband and I can fit comfortably in big blue while the kids can sit on each side in their own rockers while we roast marshmallows over a fire on our imaginary patio!

I do have to replace the ugly stop board in the front of this little guy before I slap some paint on it, but since my daughter is determined to never take her cute little behind out of it, it'll have to stay for the time being.

I made these rockers out of old wooden spools that have been deconstructed.
Luckily an awesome friend of mine deconstructed them for me so all I had to do, was cut and build!

After I complete the build on the second rocker and they get their healthy coats of robin's egg blue, I'll get back to work finishing up on my spare parts forest cabin. My husband had a broken fan lying around from one of his old pickups that I collected and hid (just in case he wants it back) that I think will be painted up and bolted onto one of the outside walls. It will make a lovely giant flower decoration and fits the "spare parts" title of this building perfectly.
